More about us
RAVN (Rural Arts Voice North) was created in 1989 under the umbrella of the North Woods Medical Cooperative in Minong. It was a regional arts group partially funded through grants from the Wisconsin Arts Board and National Endowment of the Arts.
This group reorganized itself as RAVN Arts in 2024 after adopting new by-laws and appointing an eight-member Board of Directors.
The organization’s mission is to develop projects designed to promote the arts throughout Northwest Wisconsin. This includes the visual arts, music, dance, writing and photography. RAVN Arts provides all members of our expanded community the opportunity to share their creative voices and to recognize the importance of bringing the abundance and diversity of these voices together to promote the well-being of our communities.
RAVN Arts sponsors an Annual Art Exhibition each summer, an Art Treasure Hunt and a number of workshops and demonstrations. We plan to expand our programming, including promotion of our many talented members. We also welcome artists of all kinds who are interested in scheduling workshops or presentations, and are always looking for volunteers to help with our events.
Please check out our Membership Application and consider joining RAVN Arts.
